The story starts with the marriage of the heroine and her husband. But on the wedding night, the husband declared to her that he will never sleep with her and left the couple's bedroom. The husband's family was financially struggling, and wanted to ask the heroine for her dowry but she did not hand it off to his family as is but started a business with it. The husband's family wanted to ask her not to do it since she never had a history of starting a business...or was it because all the business she started failed in the past... I forgot the exact reason.... but because it is her dowry they coupd not exactly tell her no. But her business succeeded and she helped the husband's family improve with that. Not sure of the husband's family status, could be a duke or a marquis not sure.
And anyway, the heroine knew from the start the aunt was not on the husband's side, and wanted to expose her. The heroine's maids were quite fond of her especially after she helped the family so they were willing to do what she asked. So the heroine devised a plan to expose the aunt. By telling a maid to sew in secret. As it turns out, there was a rule in thatcfamiky that servants can't have 2 jobs, the aunt found out the maid doing 2 jobs and blackmailed her to spy on the heroine or else she'll get fired for doing 2 jobs. She did as the aunt asked and gave all sorrs of infornation to the aunt about the heroine, not knowing it was all within the heroine's plan. It was eventually exposed when the heroine and the maids went out at night to look at a tree. They were found by the aunt going out, and even tried to expose that they were a spy, but the maids heavily defended her. That included the maid who was blackmailed. Because after all, all of it was a plan made by the heroine.
