Hating HJ isnt worth it anymore.

To think that he took away the one thing Compton had left with him as a musician, even after taking away his piano. Destroying others' music for the sake of your ignorance; HJ started hurting people, so Compton hurt others back. Because people are different. And yet he deluded himself into thinking that everything he did was for Garam's sake, while being ignorant of the root cause of this whole problem. Just when Garam finally thought of ending this vicious cycle by being the last one to suffer the abuse and returning it back to Compton with nothing but compassion- just then, HJ had to ruin it all. Does he really think he did it for Garam's sake? What does he even know? All he knows is how Garam was treated in front of the orchestra, not what really happened to him. After going through it all, Garam still held strong- because he saw the loneliness in Compton as well.
maybe cuz of his tendency to only see the 'good sides" in people- but is it really that simple? Others couldn't see what he could, so how could he turn away when he knew what was truly going on? It's not that the garam is simple minded, its not that he only sees the good in people. It's that he sees everything in the person with whom he shares his music. The music he played with Compton was indeed heavenly- for him, for Compton, for the orchestra- because of what they felt. No one could feel that- not even Heejae.
No human's heart is bad; their methods might be wrong/cruel/unjustified, but every action has its cause; every cause has its root, even if that root started from pure devotion or compassion. Heejae isn't human. Because he listens to the music, not the cause- he listens to the soul, not what the soul went through to make that music. Garam is everything Heejae isn't. Garam's rachmanioff may have been born for HJ, but its main purpose was to soothe the many broken souls in their music-Compton's as well.
Heejae couldn't understand Compton's music not because it didn't have a soul- it did but because, back then, Compton's music was for Heejae and not for his own sake. His sound wasnt the scream of his soul but the call of devotion he felt for Heejae. HJ didn't just take away his piano; he ruined the sound of Compton's soul.

All of these are my thoughts: hating someone who isnt human in the first place. Is it even worth it? All it is worth is destroying others' raw emotion- their souls. Just like it did to the first 3 students.
