Looking at how things are atm, I’m pretty sure that’s the route the author is going to take. Nanjo is probably gonna tone his cold-ass attitude down when it comes to Mokyeon from now on (even without the tests, I’m sure he’s aware that Mokyeon has changed a lot since their last interaction). Even if their reconciliation starts out of pity, I hope they’ll eventually develop a “healthy” relationship based on genuine feelings (and eventually, Mokyeon gets the help he needs, because love alone isn’t enough to address his mental health issues).

Now that I read it again, today’s chapter isn’t THAT bad (36 feels emptier). Could’ve been better if the author didn’t drag the conversation into the next chapter, but alas.
What I noticed on my second read is that Nanjo’s urgency when he showed up after their call was absurdly disconnected. The way he was drawn, slightly sweaty kinda made it look like he was running or speed-walking after the call. Such a fake idgafer.
They probably wont find any significant internal injuries from that test, but they for sure gonna point out that he’s malnourished and has self-harm injuries. That’ll definitely make Nanjo think twice before cutting mokyeon off again.
