Yeah I noticed it too. But I already have an inkling while reading that Fay is the one she wants marry. Maybe she reads the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty and Snow White that talks about true love's kiss and it works
*I reread it again, Ruby said, "I'm in love with someone else" So, Fayamos, telling Ruby to bring the man she wants to marry because she only thought that the other person is a guy. So there's nothing wrong about the pronoun.
The "i never said it was a man" doesn't make sense after she called her love a "him". Wish the translator made the pronoun more ambiguous
