The Chinese word for this genre is "wife chasing crematorium" and it's kinda like saying you're here reading a "face slapping" story or whatnot. But ya, that's the whole genre, the whole main plot.
People abuse the MC, MC runs away / shuts down. People realize they were wrong and regret. MC most of the time does one of 2, forgives them, or their karma catches up and they lose everything while MC goes on to live a good life (this second option is more often done when families abuse MC and not ML, MC often forgives ML). I read one where MC outright directly killed one of the ML candidates, but that's hella rare XD.

I hope you read my reply if we were to correspond current Rut Partner's manhwa chapter with novel, how long we will reach the chasing arc?
A decent ways away, the manhwa is skipping a lot of details and rushing things, but I think it'd be close to manhwa chapter high 30s, low 40s is when the running away arc happens.
That explains why I feel the writing is somewhat odd and some part doesn't seem right. Tysm for responding <3
honestly this is and will continue to be a sob story. not that its terrible or anything but the ‘redemption arc’ isnt an arc its the whole story.
