Heejae: “Why suddenly bring up mythology?”
Teacher: “This myth uses Orpheus to illustrate love's biggest obstacle, in my opinion. It was easier to give in to the temptation of looking back than it was to keep moving forward to save his lover. It means that going against your own nature is much harder than simply loving someone. Therefore, if that heart of yours is sincere, you must try harder. You have to defy your own nature…if you are a knife, merely growing dull isn’t enough. You have to snap off the blade.”
