Y'all I just gotta share.

I was obsessed with BL and smut.
Like lived, breathed, ate it. But not anymore. (And I'm not judging anyone who does read all that because I've been there before, like heavily into it, I even wrote and published a BL smutty omegaverse webnovel that got 1 million views but I deleted it)
What happened was I almost got into a car accident where I knew God protected me. This was about a year ago and it's taken me this long to finally have streaks where I only read no spice bxg.

Sometimes it's hard and I wanna go back to my old ways (I admit, I fall to temptation for a bit every now and then - progress, not perfection) but I remember that it's not worth it (I'm now at a 1 month long no BL or smut streak on anything after a fall to temptation, but before that I had a 2.5 month streak). So yeah, it's possible to get out of addiction. It's difficult but Jesus is there every step of the way~

Again, I'm not shaming anyone who reads any of that (I mean, I know what this platform is), because I've been there. It just got to the point where it wasn't healthy and it was affecting me mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When I think of the person I want to be, the parent I want to be etc, that person isn't addicted to smut so I gotta do the work to get out of that addiction. Addiction to smut is similar to getting addicted to drugs/alcohol (affects the brain similarly) only this is more normalized and everything is sexualized in society. You are not a bad person or dirty or anything for reading any of that or for being addicted to smut. Nor if you're part of the LGBTQ community. Jesus still died on the cross for you, no matter your sexual identity.

That's it, I truly hope you have a blessed day of happiness, health and luck! love you<3
