hello.
1. Jagaaaaaan (completed)
it's not really "horror" in terms of scare factor and creepiness but the grotesque imagery of the characters and philosophical discussions about humanity, fickleness of a person, and life in general were enjoyable.
2. 44th Period Survival Class (ongoing)
this gives more of an unnerving feeling due to lack of information and certainty making the characters do their best with the conclusions they've gathered from observation.
3. Tenkuu Shinpan (completed)
this already had an anime adaptation but i read the manga first and you could say the minor gore can be counted as horror but ultimately they're trying to survive to complete one goal.
4. Shadow House (ongoing)
this isn't exactly horror but there are some high-intensity situations that made me scared of what's to come. it's moreso mystery of unraveling the secrets of the house and who operates the entire scheme.
5. Tomodachi Game (completed)
same with shadow house, not exactly horror but more suited as survival, mystery, and psychological. the fear that i experienced here is not knowing who to trust among the others.
6. Kyochuu Rettou (completed)
this is about insects becoming gigantic and terrorizing the world. basically humans getting eaten by a new predator and the society collapsing and trying to rebound from the threat. it was an interesting read and i learned random insect trivia as well.
7. Sweet Home (completed)
i think this had a netflix adaptation but i havent watched it and saw that people have been saying they liked the manhwa better. this is a great read for me. they were trying to survive this inexplicable desire-induced human-monster mutation.
