The main story was genuinely so interesting, but it was incredibly hard to get through because of all the forced humour and unnecessary romance. The ML was so bland that I couldn’t bring myself to care about the romance at all, which made every romantic scene feel like a chore. I genuinely felt like I was being dragged through pages and pages of unnecessary stuff just to find out what happens next.
What made it even more frustrating was how random humour would be thrown into serious moments and completely ruininteresting moements. Instead of letting important scenes breathe, a radom forced joke or unnecessary interaction made everything feel SOOOOo dragged out.
Honestly, the only reason I kept reading was because the main plot was interesting enough to make me want to know what happened. If the story itself hadn’t been so compelling, I probably would’ve stopped reading super early.
