According to other comments who’ve read the novel, there isn’t any romance, but it is a very sad and angsty story lol
Novel reader here and I’m pretty far in, there’s no romance and not even a speck of dirt of it turning into a crush, it’s pure character development and companionship so far with the demon knight slowly losing hope of ever returning and nearly giving up

If there's any romance in this one, im dropping it, im not a big fan of action with a side of romance because it'll just ruin it for me.
