We never saw him come out to his parents. It was the mother of his HS boyfriend who caught them kissing before ming beat him and blaming him of corrupting her son. We only saw Garam’s mother once when Jeahyuk drove him to go see her at the hospital. She was battling cancer and his stepfather didn't tell himuntil the surgery was done which made Garam very upset
