i dont think its comically evil that the emperor tortured and killed countless people under a proclaimed righteous disguise because that is irredeemably evil but that is also literally three genocides happening in the world right now ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ i do think that its comical the way the ultimate confrontation in these regency era stories always end in battle though like if it was that easy just kill him 50 episodes ago. justification is necessary for logical story progression but politics is utterly nonsensical so all this faff is for nothing. i did love how sophia still loved monica though because i do believe that all you love comes back to you in the end. also the art change is criminal felt like i was reading a completely different story.
