i’m pretty sure suma (the author) only said that season 2 would be r15, so if she does end a lovely meal with season 2 no sex scenes would be correct. but she could always do side stories or even a season 3, so it isn’t impossible.
that doesn't mean they can't be intimate, there's definitely a way to write high-tension scenes without including smut, but that's just my opinion.
(actually, I'm not sure if intimate was the right word to use there but I'm sure my point got across (⊙…⊙ ))

i'm ngl the story's pacing js feels more natural without smut. like i feel like intimacy should be built up and reserved for emotionally charged moments anyways so i'm glad season 2 is r15 pls not every story needs immediate sex
