I can’t believe people are bashing uke more than ml. Like he’s at fault too but ml literally served the negligence and misunderstanding on a plate

Holdup people are cooking uke? He can be dumb and do dumb decisions but I am completely on his side like wdym you like me when your not showing it to me when we're in a relationship PLUS YOU SIMPLY AGREE TO BREAK UP?

It’s almost like his only fault is the fact he struggles to outwardly express himself. The MC jumped to his own conclusions and misunderstood it himself. You call it negligence, but he just let his partner have fun? Is letting your partner have freedom the new toxic trait? How can you pin the blame on someone who didn’t even do anything wrong? MC should’ve communicated. ML respected his decision but clearly doesn’t actually want things to end and does love MC, but MC is too rash and hotheaded to properly give him a chance.

dude, he literally just agreed to go on a blind date. I’m sure it’ll be explained next chapter w some shit but mc was fully expecting him to say no. That is what their relationship has always been. And the communication didn’t come from ml either. He can’t express himself is a bogus excuse if he doesn’t even try. My man to this day didn’t try clearing anything. Imagine how confused you’d be if your partner keeps switching between hot and cold like that

It’s very clear he only said yes to the blind date hoping MC would speak up. He doesn’t actually want to meet anyone else. Otherwise, why would he chase MC? Sure, yes, I can agree that ML isn’t entirely innocent, especially with that stunt, but struggling with expression is 100% a valid excuse. He could work on it if he knew his partner wanted him to be expressive. There are so many other stories where a characters inability to express themself is a nonissue. Also no, I wouldn’t be confused if I were in this situation because I’m fully capable of communicating with my partner. If I want them to be expressive, I’d talk about it. And I make them aware that I struggle with it due to my autism and avpd. I don’t place expectations on another living being then dump them without giving them a chance to explain themself or tell them what’s making me upset. ML has clearly tried talking a bit, but MC is too hotheaded, jumps to his own conclusions, and refuses to even ask why ML is the way he is. One simple “could you express yourself more?” would go a long way and they could’ve avoided unnecessary drama.

No it’s not clear he said yes to date going mc would speak up. At all. After the mc refused the date himself. We as reader know that since we know he’s ml but mc doesn’t. Ml hasn’t tried to communicate and it’s not as simple as unspoken expectations when they are in a relationship. There are expectations. Not each of them has to be announced. If my bf didn’t get me a birthday present and just slided past it then it’s not my duty to go n say why didn’t u give me a present. It’s the ideal case sure but it’d be just as valid to simply feel hurt and emotional. N mls recent stunt shows ‘could u express yourself more’ would’ve done nothing in this case

Clear to US. Which still makes a HUGE difference. Of course it wont be clear to MC for the drama. Can you at least comprehend what I’m saying? The “could you express yourself more” question would’ve AVOIDED this whole situation. He wouldn’t have pulled this recent stunt, because they’d still be together!!!! I never said feeling hurt or emotional wasn’t a valid response. I stated that jumping to conclusions and breaking up without even communicating is an issue.
Personally? If my boyfriend didn’t get me a gift, I’d be understanding. Maybe he forgot, maybe he couldn’t afford one, maybe he’s too busy. There’s many possibilities. Sure, I might be disappointed, but I wouldn’t antagonize my boyfriend for one simple thing he might not have remembered/thought about. Not expressive? Cool, I can accept that and still love you. Not good with gift giving? Cool, I’m not good with receiving anyway. Not the jealous, controlling type? Perfect, I love freedom and value their trust. It’s as easy as that.

It truly feels like I’m debating with a wall right now. I won’t continue a debate with someone who can’t think more logically and fully process what it is I’m saying.
