Finished the novel last January and it was fine. Has a really short angst and kinda lacking in romantic stuff. Ending was also a bit rushed.
MC is a beta that turned into an omega because of Ml. He has an omega bestfriend which he treats as his bro. The omega bestfriend also sees Mc as his bro. They have each others backs and I would argue the omega bestfriend actually experienced so much hardship because he is anti-alpha. He is also the one that warns Mc about shady people/ jobs. Mc is a typical kind, virgin omega but with a bit of backbone.
Ml is a rich ceo slut of course. He just wanted to play with Mc for a bit because he was attractive and inexperienced. He wanted to act like a saint that saved Mc. He fell in love but couldn't admit it.
Ok, so after they slept for the first time, they had this kinda fwb/ fb set up. Ml also protects Mc and his bestfriend against dangerous people. Mc's bestfriend disappears for a while and there was no contact but only updates by Ml. This gave Ml the opening to kinda seduce Mc to stay in his house. Their fwb continues and Mc falls in love. Ml's cousin (The blond guy he met at the bar) likes Mc and discovers their set-up, so he reveals that Ml is actually engaged. The big reaveal happened while Mc was with Ml's cousin while Ml was with his fiance in a public event. After this, there was a huge fight where Mc confronts Ml and tries to escape but Ml won't let him go. Ml tells him that he'll only get married for business and they'll still be together and he'll give Mc whatever he wants (they still don't have any label). Mc does not want to be a mistress and tries to flee for a second time. Ml lets him go for a while but he tries to convince him to call him for help, which Mc rejects again.
Ml's great-uncle then beats up Mc and gives him money (50 mil) to stay away from Ml (bruh they already broke up wtf). He was the one pushing the arranged marriage for political purposes. After some realizations, Ml admits that he fell in love at first sight and he really loves Mc. He decides to call the engagement off and they reconcile. He discovers what his great-uncle did and so he beats him up and leaks a private video where his father and other powerful old fucks r*pe drugged college students. Mc's bestfriend comes back and he is now in a relationship with Ml's right hand man/ secretary who is also an alpha. Turns out he was the one protecting Mc's bestfriend when he disappeared (Ml's orders of course). They seem happy together.
The ending was Mc's conception dream while the side stories are Ml's and Mc's younger days where they actually met in the orphanage. Ml wanted to adopt Mc before.
