look not to start crying again oo the novel is better, but they removed the (huge) part where the esper had this "conflicting feelings" over the guide being the guy he fights with and the guy who saved him, and the guide teasing him non stop abt it
like the guide would do stupid shit and esper will be trying his best to be patient (its the guy who saved me!! the man i love!!) but the guide would continue to tease him until gets angry and they start bickering again, or guide using "i am the guy who saved you respect me mf and let me put shoes in the entrance" and esper being obediently like okay
and, esper finally found a solution : whenever he pisses me off, i kiss him until he short circuits, and it worked a bit too well...
