True but Rose is still pretty sadistic since he technically still could've saved Edgar it's not like he was bound by the wish to only save his brother so after all that Edgar could've lived but he was so upset Edgar chose his bum of a brother he let him die like he wanted.
I can understand doing it to the brother but continuing through the blood line is kinda diabolical, the children don't even have a say on it plus the poor innocent spouses
Yes, that's also one major reason. But I think he's that sadistic because he's like an unidentifiable creature closer to a demon that doesn't feel the same way humans do. He doesn't understand the concept of human emotions, so he expresses it by the reasoning he knows.
Girl idfk but I do understood Rose's rage for the Otises. He's 'miserable' that Edgar didn't chose to be with him and he couldn't exactly get angry at Edgar so he diverted all his anger to Neil and his descendants. Thinking about it, all in all, their story was just sad.
