I really do not like Eunsan at all. I can't tell if he's badly written? But he's way past cool bottom and just plain apathetic and one-dimensional. And I don't think he's going to get a character or redemption arc of suddenly showing Ian how much he likes him. It also bothers me that Ian has turned into an absolute simp for him. I understand having a long standing crush and a first love and having that youthful stubbornness to make the person fall for you. But I really wish Ian had a female friend in his life to tell him: girl, don't beg for no man. Because Eunsan is almost bratty with how apathetic he is. I get that Ian understands that Eunsan doesn't like him, but for god's sake man, have some self respect. And on a reader 's level, I can't stand the dynamic, it's way too lopsided, I've never even seen a bottom on his knees this hard. Ian's character has just gotten way too wimpish? And I love me a puppy top who adores his bottom. But Eunsan doesn't even feel like he should get that adoration.
I really liked Eunsan at the beginning of the story. And I definitely didn't like how Ian was pushing his boundaries, doing as he pleased all for the sake of hitting on him. But the flip was extreme in the recent chapters. It is very obvious that Ian is head over heels for Eunsan, something that he himself knows but tries to deny. And as a person who has had unrequited love for another, I cannot help but be hurt by how easily Eunsan brushes off Ian's feelings. Sure, they are being intimate with consent here. I also understand why Eunsan has bitterness for Ian. And before people come up to say that's humane, I agree it's good that his character has depth given their circumstances. But what's wrong with hoping that a character would be kind to something like feelings of love? I just hoped that Eunsan would treat such heavy emotions from another person for him, more sincerely. And yet with his current actions and thought process, I cannot help but find him somewhat insensitive. I even find him somewhat shallow at moments.
