I took AP Euro, got a 5, and if u do the notes its genuinely light work. Just do the study guide and hop on Heimler's History, and the tests will be free game. Also, my teacher lowk graded us on the notes we took, so it might js be us. First day of class, he had us take 3 pages of notes on the best way to do notes and textbook readings.

I had friends that took APUSH, and their teacher gave them a test on the material they did over the summer on their second day back. That really set the tone for the year.
I noticed that the people that consistently did their work and paced themselves on their textbook outlines did better in class and weren’t ripping out their hair from the stress of doing it the period/night before.
I took AP Bio last year, and while it’s not Euro or APUSH, I think this really applies to every AP class: Manage yourself and your time, and you’ll be fine!
Good luck on your class (and exam if you’re taking it!) <3

    If good, competent teacher=
ask for help and save yourself the time and pressure. They turn a 4 hr study session into 1 hr. Any teacher knows their stuff but a good teacher can explain it to even a 1st grader.

    If not=
Study by yourself at least 1-2 hrs a week, spread it out and don't do all at once unless you want to or don't have time. I never even touched the textbook unless an assignment required it. To study the concepts, if you suffer from untreated ADHD brain like me, watch youtube videos that dumb it down and try and get a study buddy or tutor. Having someone to discuss with is great and motivational but if not it's fine. Know what concepts you to study, take a practice test if you haven't already and find your weak spots. I got a 40% first week and improved to a 90%. Never procrastinate/try to do it in one sitting unless lacking on time as quality work comes from continuous progress. DO NOT rely on that textbook if you hate it (but skim it every week to refresh), the internet exists and you can utilize it. Find how different studying methods feel. Try taking notes on vids, practicing with worksheets/homework, listening to just audio while cooking/cleaning, etc and find what you like.

You got this, believe in yourself and work hard! An AP class is not the end of the world. They teach you more about HOW to take college classes and being responsible more than anything. Studying is a skill you can hone! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
