Yes he is a generic black hair ml with a tragic backstory, ive seen those countless times but with that logic it would be just the same for our FL, "boring". They are pretty much the same character only difference is perspective and FL going back in time they both have tragic past trying to change it slowly, they are both moving behind society, both of them holds secrets from one another. I dont get looking for "chemistry" between them, thats not the reason they are working together.
