nope... there's no chasing arc similar to that. It's more of they will get together and the ml will turn absolute 180 like get obsessed with our mc... like always texting him and gets mad when he does not reply, stuff like that. It had come to a point where MC got stressed so much because of how clingy he is, so they temporarily broke up. So I would say that ML remained selfish and clingy, but MC has issues too soo I guess they suit each other that way hahaha.
He actually breaks up w him and the ML realises what he’s done wrong. I’m oversimplifying it but trust me when I say this, read the novel
