Idk, to me it's not the MC per se. His reactions are quite valid. His low self esteem boils down to him being poor wanting a rich person plus all the baggage he had since he was a child. ML's behavior prior to everything feeds his insecurity.
But I don't think it's the ML that's problem too. I think it's the execution of the story. There's not enough scenes to establish the ML's behavior. He was cold and distant, even when he helped MC so much, then suddenly he got somewhat jealous, then rut -> pregnant. There's something off with the whole writing for the ML and it flows down to the MC.
i’ve read close to 1500 manga/manhwa, and i’ve seen my fair share of whiny ukes and shitty semes. but these two take the fucking cake. i was rooting for wooseok earlier but now that i see how mc is acting, wooseok dodged a bullet. mc and ml were made for each other man. reading this shit pissed me off.
