This is an absolute masterpiece. The pacing, the characters, the plot. It had me on a chokehold from the first chapter and I don't think my jaw went back in place till I finished.
I especially love that everything in it is contradictory. Was the main story a reality? Or was it fiction? Did he love the role they created, or did he love the flesh behind the masks?
Anyone who goes through what the MC went through is guaranteed to run mad. And the second ml, oh god.
I don't even know who is in the wrong with this. Is it the author's, for creating such a story and staying when he was forced into it? When given the chance to leave and refuses? Is it the psychopath's, for wanting such role, annealing the author to the point of him being the plot, not knowing his reality nor his fiction? Not his self nor his reason? Is it the assistant's, of not forcing the issue, of distancing himself?
