Well, that’s what he thought was the right thing to do. He and Kirato are fundamentally different, in many ways, the boy who has everything and the boy who has nothing, so I understand why he thought this was the better option out of all the choices, even though it hurt both of them in the process. All I’m saying is that people are expecting too much from him when it comes to their idea of what the “correct” thing to do
Yup,He is well aware of this himself, so it makes sense; this detail keep reminding me of "Blue Sky Complex", but set in a context where they are supported and have matured. It is fascinating to read stories with different developmental backgrounds where characters share the same underlying concerns, yet their distinct environments and personalities lead them to make different choices about their lives.

People are expecting too much from Yuuji when it comes to doing the “correct” thing. The guy was told at a young age that he should’ve never been born in the first place and was basically made to feel like the last obstacle standing between his mom and happiness, so yeah, it’s not hard to understand why confidence and self-worth aren’t exactly his strongest points. I’ll defend Yuuji whether he’s right or wrong, idk.
