About the hair, indeed it feels weird swing from blonde to black... But I remember Maya from agh I forgot my favourite. At that manga, the mangaka shows how Maya took mature "path" from high school and be better parnert to his uke... So I just thinking this is the same. (Because in Japan, you have to be "proper" plus black hair to join working world(?))
