I know it's not a child's responsibility to tend to an adult, but if you love your mother so much, will you not even have a doubt about the events?you see her health worsening day by day and having violent episodes after the arrival of the mistress,do you not suspect anything ? it was pretty heavy stuff, probably the behaviour around a mentally unwell person changes a lot, probably it's difficult to tolerate them even! i have never seen anyone go through these things irl so it's difficult to understand but yeah livenia's behaviour( not blaming her btw) was pretty cruel
