nah fr, and honestly the one coworker is so much worse than the other. like the girl who got rejected felt bad that she hadn’t moved on yet, but it seemed like she had kinda given up and it was just taking her time. her friend, however, decided that the mc was selfish and needed to out himself to reject the girl.
like when i reread that scene i am like “yeah that friend is an awful friend to the girl who confessed” bc the girl who confessed apologized when she learned what her friend had done and apologized for struggling to move on. she should have dealt with it better, but like i’m just imagining crying in private to a trusted friend about a situation and then having her go to the person in question and confront him in the worst possible way. not trying to like ignore the issues with the girl who confessed, but like i hate the friend coworker even more bc she literally just tried to embarrass and expose everyone out of some weird sense of justice. and when i think about the other implications of her confrontation, im like “damn she says it’s selfish to not out yourself, and she’s spilling all of her friend’s private emotions” it just makes me so mad how she gets forgiven and they forget all of it. the girl who got rejected? yeah i can see that situation becoming resolved and having a new friendship form.
