They didn't kill them off tho, it was the demon guys, but I guess if the mc wanted to he could've stepped in and saved them. Maybe he just wanted to see the leaders final decision idk
priginally the members wanted to run away and help fight off the demonic cult but the demonic cult killed them because the leader agreed to be the spy, MC only killed the demonic cult then the leader of Sarim.
