i went into this thinking it was just another piece of showbiz slop and wasn't expecting much depth, but was pleasantly (agonizingly) surprised. the exposition didn't feel dragging at all, and did a good job showing the weight of honesty and vulnerability between the two. it gave enough context to all the hesitation and denial.
not usually a fan of misunderstandings, but i could really feel the anxiety and fear behind them having to face their feelings, which made the slow burn surprisingly compelling instead of testing my patience.
tldr the build-up is delicious. gonna go read the novel ദദ◝ ⩊ ◜.ᐟ
