Ashley is very good to Koi (his omega), it's just that after he falls hard for Koi he starts having thoughts like "I'll kidnap him so he stays with me forever" "I'll lock him up so he never has to leave my side, ever" things like that, but he never follows through, he loves Koi a LOT, and after he manifest those thoughts get way more frequent lol XD, but in their novel they never showed Ashly creating those places but I do remember him only THINKING that creating those places wouldn't be a bad idea, for koi's safety, and to keep their psycho kids under control, he doesn't like his kids at all XD (but that's part of his Extreme Alpha, since they don't feel emotions, Ashley also lost his after he manifested, he only feels emotions for Koi, like his kids only for his respective partners) but he's never been a red flag to him, he keeps his thoughts to himself and has Koi thinking Ashley is the kindest man alive, only their close friends know of Ashley's psycho true personality XD (after his manifestation, he was normal with his friends before)

I mean he was normal with his friends BEFORE manifesting, but changes after, he stops liking everyone after manifesting except for Koi

So basically he didn't give a fck about kids while they were growing up does that explain why when josh was going through so much after what Grayson did to him does he not care or did he didn't knew and does the omega also not care what the childrens are doing to eo

Ashley doesn't feel anything for his children (at least not love, but he doesn't feel hatred for them either), but he never expresses it out loud so Koi believes he loves them like he does, and Ashley already knows Extreme Alphas are psychos, but Koi is the first one to notice odd behaviours from his children (especially Grayson and Stacey) but he refuses to believe there's something wrong with his children so whenever he sees Chase* crying because Grayson and Stacey pushed him down the stairs, he tells them never to do that, and comforts Chase but they don't listen to him and he doesn't inform Ash, Ashley finds out the things that were happening after Grayson and Stacey (Along with Nathaniel in a way) poison Koi with a poisoned cake and he's taken to ER, after that, Ashley separates Koi from their children and takes over the raising and discipline of them, he is cold with all of them, doesn't show them affection like Koi (since he doesn't actually like any of them lol) and he introduces punishment whenever the children disobey him and do psycho stuff to anyone including Chase, and what he thinks of Chase (when he is still a child and crying) is something like this "he'll definitely manifest into Extreme Alpha anytime soon too, he's crying now but once he manifests he'll also forget about all his emotions like every extreme alpha and his other emotionless siblings and he'll no longer be sad because of his siblings, so it's pointless to worry about him crying since he'll lose his emotions anyway" before heading to punish the culprits (It's mostly Grayson and Stacey doing psycho stuff).

But Ashley can't have full control over them so there were some things that got past him before he could stop them, like the trauma with the dog Grayson caused Chase in adolescence. Anyway, the side stories end around that time when Ashley takes over the raising of the children, they don't show them growing up or Chase manifesting. Everything I've mentioned come from Lick Me Up If You Can and Desire Me If You Can novels, I haven't read Kiss Me If You Can novel to better understand Chase's POV
