Okay I checked the novel spoilers and they did cut stuff out. Apparently Royan did have a talk with the princess. Quote from someone who shared the spoilers: “Roian doesn't have much attachment with ogFL. He did have feelings similar to liking during his childhood but his head became clearer. I loved the part where Roian confronted Erina that why does she see someone else through him. Erina kept shoving the past Roian's image through his throat.”

Quotes about the princess:
“Erina was sent to the monastery where another twist was revealed. The priest reveled she wasn't the protagonist but sent to help Ravella. When she asked if Ravella also had past memories the priest replied in the negative. God couldn't bear to give those painful memories to her again. But in Erina's case, she was someone with desperate wishes to live. God decided to give her the memories so that she could make the correct choices and live a better life. But her selfishness and hatred resulted in her misery.”

“Erina tries to escape the palace after MC and ML successfully take over the capital. She meets Labella, who intercepts her. They have a heartfelt discussion and the little Duke (Erina’s first love) is tasked with escorting her to the carriage taking her to her exile/confinement. Erina tells him she hopes she never sees and loves him again in the this lifetime and the next.

The carriage Erina boards is actually owned by the temple and the high priest is inside.Erina is told by the high priest that she has failed her mission to protect MC and incurred the wrath of god. She is now going to be confined to a small room in the temple for the rest of her life. The only people she will ever see again in her life are her three or four watchers assigned to her by the church/duchy. Otherwise, she will be left alone to repent and think about all her crimes in that small room.”

So it looks like they changed who confronted the emperor, from the Duke to the ML:
“The Duke gets his revenge and he is the one to storm the emperor's room. He talks to Liam and Liam seems nonchalant about being overthrown; however his demeanor changes when Erina is mentioned.
Liam becomes distraught at the thought of what might happen to his daughter and his punishment is that he will never see Erina again. He will never know what became of her. He will be stuck wondering if she was executed or if she is alive. Liam does not regret any of his actions he just regrets not being able to protect Erina.”

Commander ends up dying and suffering.

Quote about dragon:
“Suddenly the baby dragon suddenly grows up all at once and becomes really powerful, when it was set up that the dragon was too weak to even grow for like, 10 years, because it was helping Calex. And a spirit appears? A butterfly that couldn't teleport FL out of a dragon lair suddenly heals people and revives the charred earth in a single flap of its wings? Not to mention how they used the dragon to invade the capital and ML went "get out of the way or the dragon will end you" when they spent the entire book building up their military forces and money and manpower”

So that was from the novel spoilers. Now I’ll share spoilers from what I checked out in the novel myself. I read the later/ending part.

Chapter 170
Apparently there was a volcanic eruption?? And the princess was the one that designed and ordered the explosion. Royan and FL were shocked to find this out. So the emperor started killing people, in order to draw people’s attention to himself and protect his daughter from being found out.

Chapter 172
Royan went to speak to the princess, elina, one last time before she’s sent to a monastery. He looks at her with a hint of guilt and compassion. Elina realizes that the Royan she knew before her regression and the current Royan are two different people. He says, “you knew too didn’t you? That you were seeing someone else.” He remember in their childhood elina said he’d become a kind person later. Someone who reaches out to those who have nothing. Royan said, “Still, back then, I liked your highness.” Back then he liked her, though he didn’t know who that person was, he wanted to become that person if elina liked it. “If it weren’t for my younger sister, I would’ve grown up as your highness wished.” If he hadn’t had a sister who affirmed and loved the existence of Royan that he himself had turned away from, he would have abandoned himself and tried to live as elina wanted. Elina said, “i was wrong from the beginning.” If she had seen the current Royan from the start and accepted him as he was, would something had been different. Elina said, “if I’m born again, I won’t meet you then.” If there was a next life, she will live solely for her family.
When she’s in the carriage she sees Royan bowing his head in the distance.

She meets the priest and she’s informed that she’s the saintess that was meant to help the FL. The priest said she was given a chance to improve her life. “It’s just that you saintess, despite receiving a more special opportunity than anyone else, made the worst choices at every moment.” Elina had received the most special opportunity. She had thrown away her chance to live a different life.

Calix (ML) thought about Elina’s punishment and wanted to do it through a public trial showing all her crimes. But knew the public would feel complex feelings since people still supported her. He decided to handle it quietly and tell the public she went missing, to kill her later. But the church intervened asking him to hand her over in return for giving him certain rights for a period of time. One of which involves telling the location of FL’s mother’s grave. He agreed but also gave conditions like confining Elina to a room she would never be allowed to leave for the rest of her life, allowing only 3 people contact with her, and no giving or receiving unauthorized info.

There were more moments between FL and ML. Like actually showing the proposal and FL saying they should put off getting married right away since she wants to spend time with her family because of all those years apart, which ML sulkily agreed to. She promised him she’ll see him everyday.
