Clodan a laaame

Clodan does NOT deserve a happy ending. This was textbook trauma bonding/lowkey stockholm syndrome. I usually really like yandere/obsessive/yearner male leads BUT I only find it endearing if I can tell that the ml prioritizes the female lead's happiness. Clodan just kept being selfish, cruel and didn't care how Ray felt a lot of the time. Also, whenever Ray would brush things off or forgive him, it just felt like codependency. Clodan was the first man to ever show affection to Ray, who had super low self-esteem and was emotionally abused her whole life. So I was never really that surprised when she would take him back but come onnnn. I wanted to see Ray actually stand on business and have Clodan actually earn her back. I wanted to see him yearning, begging not simply him being sad in his room. I'm talking ACTIVELY trying to win her love back. But no, she just ended up pitying him again and getting guilt tripped by her kids, who btw have no f*cling clue what their mother went through. I wanted a romantic, fleshed out romance with smut and yandere traits but I feel like this was basically just yandere p*rn with a little plot. Also, there is no way Ray would ever in good conscience be okay with her daughter taking back a men that put her through the same thing Clodan did, especially that easily.
