He doesn't like his boss imo, he just wants to be with the gender. He barely knows him and you.can tell the boss is a fake person, for somebody that catches on to things how would he miss that? They have not chemistry, they.might be physically attracted to each other but I don't see how he likes him. I don't think he likes his friend yet or maybe he hasn't realized it yet, I a tleast think the intensities of their feelings don't match, the friend for sure likes him more. And the friend may or may not look pathetic to some, I just wonder why people always ask for communication and when a character expresses themselves and goes for it they're pathetic. I'd say he's brave, he could lose the person he likes who doubles as his best friend since childhood. They're pretty realistically written. Feelings are a mess and their situation is tough. One of them is being selfish, he had an inkling that his friend was catching feelings he knew he'd most likely be the type to yet he prioritized his pleasure over the effects that may have on their relationship. And yeah people are like that, they can be quite short sighted. Overall not a bad story, it's interesting. Since they're end game, dude will have to make up with the fact that he likes his partner because of who he is regardless of his gender, that takes a lot of work but we'll see plus they're dumb and young.
