rereading older chapters with 206 in mind

just speculating, but do you guys think that if garam’s thread of forgiveness ever snaps, it might make him lose his sound? i feel like the essence of garam’s music is a feeling of unconditional love and acceptance, especially in response to heejae’s cruelty. that’s been the foundation of his playing for his entire career, ever since he heard the professor play chopin for the first time. if heejae ever goes too far and pushes garam past the limits of his compassion, will it change how garam expresses himself through his music? and if garam’s sound were to change or disappear, would heejae finally be forced to confront garam’s agency and feelings as a human being in earnest? i kind of doubt it since his “growing colder” hasn’t affected his music at all so far but anyway….i’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this arc will play out. side note but crazy how cohesive the story is for having 200+ chapters, bdk never leaves a loose end untied
