He doesn't want J to learn/know what he had experience/suffered while he was being experimented ( also lsy have PTSD) because he surely know that j wouldn't sit still and he doesn't want J to be in danger because of him. (I'm sorry if this is actually accurate in the novel, cause I have forgotten most of it).
