There is something I like about Gwen and that he brings our world to a fantasy one. A lot of antics he displays are things we the readers most likely experience or read in another story. It's fun! But it aside from the adultery, I (comically) have issues with Gwen because he sometimes break the immersion.
If I'm in a fantasy dragon magic land where flying is common, I don't need Gwen pulling up with a McDonald's Happy Meal telling me it's common from where he's from. Like...STOP !
