I am mad because this was one of my cutie patooties stories, but not gonna like at this point I am also intrigued with the storyline, seems pretty interesting right now. I just think that this could have been a new story, and the author could have had a new cow to milk for a long time full of angst ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Why not? Writing is creative and keeping rigid rules for what you can and cannot do would be boring and predictable.
You ruin the rapport with your fans. They didn’t sign up for that kind of genre for a reason

“The exception that proves the rule” is a nonsense sentence. There are commenters who don’t care for this but the grandfather being a crazy person who wouldn’t allow for their relationship was foreshadowed in the webtoon in the earlier seasons. The mom always talked about how the grandfather wouldn’t allow them to be together so I wouldn’t say this story line is completely out of left field. I think a lot of folks just glossed over the foreshadowing.
There was no foreshadowing to rape and kidnapping. The shifted completely. You can like it that’s ok, it doesn’t change that fact
There was foreshadowing the grandpa was a crazy guy who would use whatever means necessary to not let them be together. I understand you’re bothered because you don’t like the story’s direction but my original point was saying author’s aren’t allowed to do certain things with their story would make it boring and predictable. Which, according to the comments, the story definitely isn’t either of those things now lol
That’s your opinion and it’s legit. I stand by my opinion that the author broke the verisimilitude rule by shifting the mood of the story and and changing the integrity of their own story
No worries. You’re welcome to your opinion too and maybe I’d feel the same as you do if this were about a webtoon I was more anpprehensive about change with. I was just curious why someone felt that a person in a creative field like authors are should be held to rigid rules. Cheers!
