ML hating her is something I can hear, because he loves the empress, and FL's mother being a bitch to the empress is a tragedy in itself. To grieve... but, FL is also grieving, she loved the Empress so much, i would not be surprised if at some point she did not wish that the empress was truly her mother. She was eleven. A baby gurl who lost so much.
