he didn't really cheat, same as other stories. he thought it's best for her to see him acting cozy with the other girl because he's still conflicted if he should hate her or like her. he doesn't like the saint and finds her too annoying. he didn't go to his son's birthday because accordingly he needs to go somewhere very important so that his family and him will 'finally' be together and happy. foolishly dumb, cliche, and pretty much unlikeable ml (for me) :)

He learned from the priestess — who had ulterior motives, being in love with him — that Blair carried the curse afflicting the beloved women of House Delmark — a curse that had been created back when the house first acquired the power of Mana. The curse worked like this: if the power was used "excessively," whoever wielded it would go mad and kill the person they loved (and who loved them back).
One of his ancestors had found a way to lift the curse, but it had been reinstated with Herdin's father.
As a child, Herdin witnessed the curse play out firsthand: he watched his father, driven mad after using Mana against divine beasts, kill his mother. His father was about to kill him too, but Herdin was faster and killed him first.
The priestess told him that he and Blair both carried the same active curse. Herdin actually saw it: a black magic circle on her collarbone (we also see this in the manhwa from time to time). Y'all remember how it was mentioned that ML dad was under a curse nd kiled his mom. If i remember correctly ML also has that curse and thats why he want to sty away from her and his kid. But in the end they still end up dead and ML reverses time. The kid also regresses with them.

I really want a story where we just give what our FL what she wants. She wants her baby. Give her. ML hating her is something I can hear, because he loves the empress, and FL's mother being a bitch to the empress is a tragedy in itself. To grieve... but, FL is also grieving, she loved the Empress so much, i would not be surprised if at some point she did not wish that the empress was truly her mother. She was eleven. A baby gurl who lost so much.
He cheated on her in their first life. He abandoned her. He abandoned their child. He is no different in this life too. The only thing that changed is that she knows, and made him realized. I think, I am quite tired with stories with men, just hating on women they marry and make children with to cast them aside. He surely knew, he is a duke, that disliking her, would not guarantee her safety. And she died. I really wish someone would write a story where FL does not get back with her last husband.
