Did the top take it the right way…absolutely not! And by no means am I justifying his behavior BUT you gotta be a dumb and I mean DUMB bird to have someone take care of all your promblems and then get mad about it? I’m not understanding this whole point of wanting to live “rightfully” when he still can just without hardships…? Like it’s giving to him living “rightfully and working hard”= to struggling day by day…Legit nothing would change besides him having more free time and if he still wanted to work to make his own path he could and still be the sugar baby he so didn’t care to be since now. He’s upset because the man that has taken everything from him, forced him into hidding and having to legit sell his body so he wouldn’t get beat up is finally getting payment for what he deserves and all he can see is the bad??? Mind you that nga pushed him down a flight of stairs??? He starting to irritate me real bad no shade.

It’s a difference between genuinely helping a person you care about out and helping a person out to keep them locked up.

You see, the thing is, if someone has already gone through bad experiences by owing someone money, they won't want to accept someone else (even if its trusted) being the debtor. What's more, any type of "owing" (favors and gifts) will just feel truly bad, it's inherent to people who grew up without economical privileges, and no matter how much you try to accept things from even loved ones, it just feels wrong (wish it healed sobs). Metaphorically speaking, if a brown snake comes and bites you, even if the next snake you encounter doesn't have teeth and is orange, you'll feel apprehensive.
Yeomin didn't enjoy living that way, but working honestly is all he had and what made him feel like he was doing things right. Even if Yeomin has a crush, he admits that ml is strange and erratic, he has no way of knowing what he wants since the communication is like nonexistent lmao and also the fact that his helping always comes out as forcing him to accept it. He accepted it all cause he had no other choice, he was always cornered or just plainly out of the loop. Without much info about him, wouldn't you be scared? It's someone who suddenly is taking all your economical struggles and solving them, someone who muddled with your family, your education, friendships and even the possibility of economical freedom, someone who said to your face that y'all are just sex partners. Like what is he after? AND THEN he pulls that physical aggression. I totally understand bro, he never wanted to be put in such situation, he just wanted to live his life the way he wanted, to be free

Responding to both in one. (Sorry it’s long <3)

I completely understand and see this from a different view but I guess what I’m getting at is, if that’s the case he should have not gotten involved all together no? If his whole thing was he wanted to earn a honest living and work for everything then why reach back out? Why call him? None of which the top actions he’s showing right now are new. He’s always been like this from the very beginning and yeomin has allowed it to happen the entire time but he only wants it on his time and nothing he’s proven done has been beneficial in helping him. What Yeomin is failing to understand is that he has no for lack of better terms street smarts that would ever get him out of the situation he is in right now. since he continues to hold on to the narrative that if he keeps trying eventually it will get better. Now this isnt any shape or form saying that it is impossible but he has had nobody to guide him or show him how so he is in the loop where he is trying the same method over and over again and getting nowhere. Now again by no means am I excusing how the top is treating him, talking down on him or sexually abusing him is right because it’s not but his intentions of helping him to get out of the place he is in right now are good and he has been a great financial help.

There’s a part in the story where yeomin is facing getting kicked out for classes because he cannot pay for it around the beginning and with all the debt he is in now if he had gotten kicked out his scholarship would be erased and he would have no choice but to pay out of pocket something he can not do because of the debt his father put him in which would of made his sitatuion way worse and with the loop he is going in with working himself into exhaustion and then getting beat up and bullied any person in them shoes would of committed. Because again he has no one to tell him that his methods arent working but the top. (Who is again not doing a great job) the point he is making is what Yeomin needs to hear. Now I also understand the skeptical part of this better now as well but I just don’t see that being the case it’s like he’s fighting to stay on a routine for the sake of what? I wish better for him but and even went to skim over the book after reading your comment and he is legit in a very bad sitatuion if not him there’s no telling where he would be.

Also @gwenflower you said he was being kept to be a prisoner which as of now he is but if he goes back to streets and the top just dropped him and everything he has grew accustomed to now just vanishes and the top didn’t take him back then what? Especially since the top has meddled into the business, made a mockery of the debt collectors- if he went back to the life he was living they would kill him or force him into worse because he father has no means of stopping his addiction. I’m not saying what he is doing is love but I think in the story we are about to get to a part in the story where the top has no choice but to learn that the way he’s going about it is wrong which won’t justify it but we know how these stories go and he will go back anyways. But anyways I guess where I’m getting at on this point is he’s dug a hole deeper now and leaving will do nothing but dig him even deeper.
