He could’ve handled it with a lot more care. He’s an educator so how does he not know how to speak to a child without making them feel ashamed? I bet he ignored the bullying too, cause to him dressing differently is the bigger problem.

    If they were in elementary, it would have been the 80's. Of course it doesn't make the behavior okay, but everyone keeps forgetting that the story is set 30 years ago.

    That’s why I’m saying it’s pretty much a given that they wouldn’t be accepting of the gendered dressing. But this was only 30 years ago, teachers still knew how to communicate with children but the VP clearly doesn’t.

    Nope teacher in the 80s 90s and even early 00 were assholes.
    They used physically violence and physical punishment and it was considered ok.
    as a kid in the 90s they were even worse than the VP the insults.
    At least thats how it was in most of Asia
