i think is not about accepting but more like taeseo just doesn't think of him as someone he's helping but something that is his property like look at the way that he's treating that guy
AND EVEN IF HE WASN'T TREATING Yeonmin that way, their relationship was always someone that think he can do everything just because he has money and power, he don't look at yeonmin in a equal way just because he has a difficult life and thats something that yeonmin doesn't want since the first chapter, is not just about pride but if i don't have the right for having my opinion, my life and my freedom just because someone is "helping" me i wouldn't want help too
ps: i like what taeseo did with yeomin's dad and his loan shark but the thing here is that he did without telling yeonmin about it, he did not because he wants to help yeomin but because he wants yeonmin for himself, and EVEN put yeomin in something that he didn't need just because he wanted that yeonmin finish college soon. For me all of that is just a "light" prison "i help you but you need to accept everything that i did because you said you love me so you will love me always"
looks like yeonmin can't choose anything in his life

he kinda right tho, he almost died and starved himself. with his little pride, whats wrong with accepting help lmao.
