honestly i dont think hes reading between the lines, it feels like hes just hearing what he likes to hear. hes so convinced that the uke must like him bc deep down thats what he wants. he heard "i like you too" but chose not to hear the "as a friend". then he believes Geonwu reacts so strongly to his phermones bc he likes him but hes failing to notice that Geonwu is actually in distress nc of it. like i believe that even if geonwu truly didnt have feelings for him, he would still believe geonwu likes him just because he has deluded himself
Is it just me or the writing for the season finale feels a bit rushed? Cause at no point in the story did the seme exhibit an iota of smart reasoning, and yet here we are, watching the same dude reading between the lines (correctly), even going for pattern recognition and dissolving the miscommunication magically with the help of his pheromones
