I think he wants the mc to himself, he has some sort of obsession with him. Idk if id say he was in love with him (at least not healthy love), but he wants him. He wants to remain tied to the mc, at the end of the chapter he forces mc down with his pheromones and suggests marriage when the mc tries to get away.
Yep, probably have something to do with why mc suddenly cut him off and just went to military service without a word...
