As someone who has a boyfriend now, I don’t think I can stand the thought of another girl tailing on my boyfriend despite her being rejected by him.
I tried reading this until chapter 8 and honestly, I’m already getting the ick at chapter 6; despite that, I continued reading just because I thought there will be improvements on the FL’s behavior (such as her understanding that boundaries should be put and genuinely respecting Ren’s relationship with Mayuka.)
At some point I asked my boyfriend about this manga and mentioned the plot to him. He said that it is really a bummer. Ren is the one committed to Mayuka and him allowing any sort of friendship between him and the FL is problematic. It’s nice that I am not the only one who sees the problem and I don’t think it’s wrong to have an opinion on something, especially if it makes you uncomfortable.
The author is not at fault, for me that is. It’s just that I tried reading it because I’m a sucker for an angsty unrequited love shoujo; and I thought it would be that alone. It’s not anyone’s fault, it’s just isn’t my cup of tea. (=・ω・=)
