I stopped reading right before the war started to marinate this. Just caught up to recent now and honestly, the odds are so not in their favor. We knew the war was imminent even a while back but now that we're in the midst of it, it's really heartbreaking. Arthur is strong but he and Sylvie still have so much to improve on, they just really didn't have the time. It gets obvious when he fights strong enemies like Cylrit. Same thing applies to Tess.
Also, Dicathen have so little forces and powerhouse individuals compared to Alacrya. As someone who hasn't read the novel, I'm so intrigued about what will happen next during the war. Hopefully something positive.
