I kinda understand both of them, so It is really hard to accept that the two are actually insecure about their relationship. From Torikais pov, dating a person whose whole life has been hetero, and the experience with his ex, ofc hes scared that yajima is gonna leave like everybody else. And from Yajimas pov, he feels like Torikai is a "quiter" or I would say a "runaway", he thinks Torikai is going to leave him, or that if Yajima himself leaves Torikai, hes not going to "fight for him", but what is there to fight for? I believe this way of thinking comes from a place of being insecure about not being loved enough, or not having security about the future or even the present with the other person, but for Yajima to think like this is kinda funny, Its almost as if hes projecting his insecurities on Torikai, bc he knows theyre almost the same, they have the same fear of getting left behind by the person they love the most, even though they know they love each other they need to be more honest about their feelings and fears, they need reasurance.
