I personally don't understand the age dynamics. No one in the story cares either. Fl got married as a minor to a man in thirties(just because she looked like his ex wife) but they paint the man as a good person because he gave a better life to fl. Yes, she got married to a high ranking noble but a child can't be a Duchess. I don't like any of the children. There isn't a big age gap but they are given freedom to act childish while fl isn't. And the fl is a good character but very boring to read. Currently, plot seems very plain.
