I don't like the sudden change and i only started reading this because the art caught my eyes, that's why i cannot keep reading sadly. But with the new art, I lowkey white washed the bottom. As far as I remember, he has never been so white.
I get prefering the other artstyle but a lot of the hate i see is very unfounded imo? Its just a different style and im glad the story is continuing. Im not saying dont have preferences but some of the stuff i see here is really mean like "dorito chins" (when the old art styles chins were a lot bigger???) ...
As for the whitewashing - id like to give it the benefit of doubt for now as we only seen the uke in like one panel which was not shaded at all anywhere (clothes or hair etc) but the difference is not so much darkness/tan-ness but hue?

tldr, id like to not jump the gun and not hate - the new style is pretty and i am happy its being continued, i hope the old artist is doing alright, it sounds like they might have felt burned out :c I think people are too quick to be mean on this website

maybe its because im an artist myself but i see a lot of improvement when it comes to anatomy and linework? The old artstyle was amazing still too, and i love it as well but i love the fluffyness of the hair and detailing they do now and the softer shading is nice.
Why are so many people hating?? :c
