i loooove a handsome, hard-to-read guy who is actually all soft on the inside. we don’t get a lot of hanayagi’s pov but it’s even better than way, especially since its so early in the manga. his small gestures and the attention he pays to her adds up, and it’s cute that they both see each other’s kind acts and think of them. i’m usually pretty indifferent with second male leads, if anything i feel bad for them, but this one does piss me off because he just bulldoezes over her opinions and requests. she’s too well-mannered to stop him, not to mention she can’t do anything anyway without “offending his family.” i hope we get more backstory for him tho i’m sure he has his reasons (tho i don’t believe he loves her). zen, on the other hand… the fact that he wants be selfish (and sometimes gives in to that side EEP) but wants the best for kikyo more is a true act of love. i hope we get to see them grow as their dynamics change when he’s no longer her butler ^_^
