Someone says to ml that “someone who looks just like (dead mc’s name) is here and they even act the same” but the story made it seem like mc’s old body was ugly, that was actually his old body’s whole gimmick- be too ugly to get an acting role- But if he was ugly, then how does he look similar to this new body who is supposed to look so beautiful everyone fawns over his face?

I dont think.. its the appearance but he's acting / habits etc.? They were awfully reminded of how there was an actor who died and then someone who acted identical as him showed up all of the sudden?
It could be the wording, which said by frogdisciple, can be inaccurate and funky. From chapter 9 they said “they said they saw someone who looks uncannily like him” followed by “especially the way he acts” to me it’s implied that they look physically similar, and act similar. Again, it’s the wording that I’m picking at, which is most likely due to this not being an official translation. When the officials come out, I hope it’s worded differently.
The uploader is pretty infamous for using AI to translate without checking nor fixing. Their translations are pretty wonky. I had to reread the officials once they were uploaded in other titles, too.
Maybe thisll come back later? That the mc wasnt actually ugly it was just his old self hatred? But i doubt theyll go that route
On one hand, I like it, on the other, it’s a bit typical and generic. MC is a classic ‘no self esteem but talented’ archetype, and it shows. He gets dropped into a pretty body, and all of a sudden he’s the acting god and all of his prior worries disappear. He doesn’t have to worry about money or juggle his personal life and professional life- because as soon as he made it big every worry he had just upped and vanished.
It’s enjoyable, I’ll give it that, but nothing special. It’s a good way to pass the time.
